El Kanah is about people, and about the gifts we can bring to one another in community.

We put our principles front and centre in all that we do. As far as possible we employ local trades people and source our materials from local suppliers to support the rebuilding of Marysville following the fires.

We are passionate about sharing God’s love with all who come through our doors. We would be delighted to hear from you if you’d like to join us in making that love more widely known.

Here are some of our current needs:

Donations - Financial

If you would like to contribute to the ministry and rebuilding of El Kanah we gratefully receive any donations. Our application for tax-deductible status is pending so at this stage we are receiving donations into our non-tax-deductible account: BSB 803 012 ACC. NO. 1000 39 089 (ABN 6526 8033 842).

We do have a large shortfall and there are many ways to support El Kanah financially. Here are just a few ideas for how you can help:

- Corporate sponsorship
- Sponsor a room or an item
- Grants
- Individual donations
- Organised fund raising events or charity auctions
- Regular contribution (however small)
- Funding of fittings and fixtures
- Bequests

We gratefully receive goods that can assist with building, painting, landscaping, furnishing, maintaining or in any way beautifying El Kanah. We are grateful to be the recipients of so much good will already – these are the foundations on which El Kanah is built. We are open to suggestions so if you have an idea for something to contribute please contact us.

Volunteers

We need people!

Whether your talents are in gardening, painting, building, cooking, organisation, administration or just in helping out with a smile, we’d love to hear from you. We have a large and growing group of individuals and groups who have fallen in love with El Kanah and discovered the joy of pitching in and getting involved in a great community. Skills

True to its original incarnation, El Kanah’s core role is that of a retreat and counselling centre. Largely run by volunteers, El Kanah is a non-denominational resource for the church and the broader community, particularly those in need.

We seek the support of Christian people with a range of gifts in financial planning, hospitality, ministry, management, marketing, fund raising or other relevant areas that will help El Kanah re-establish itself as a caring Christian environment. We would be delighted to hear from those with God-given gifts in these important ministry areas. Even from a distance you can contribute, by email or through prayer. El Kanah has been built on prayer and right from its inception has seen God move in wonderful ways to fulfil the vision laid on our heart:
